1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. The most significant advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It uses AI to detect objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, meaning you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean in areas you don’t would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.

Its design is also a step above the competition and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, we observed that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a bit of grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic vacuum cleaner sale cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know whether the update actually functioning until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be pricey at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock has some of our most loved Robot sweeper vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it lacks some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably soft when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few missing in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled with a few buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place it can be accomplished without difficulty. It also features an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone however it will help you keep track of the maintenance intervals for your robot easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and function are among the best affordable robot vacuum on the market however, it's also expensive.

It's a tiny base station that looks beautiful and is able to be concealed when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the only robovac I've used that has done well at picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or Robot Sweeper corners of the home. It can't climb stairs as well as competitors, for instance and doesn't come with a dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for an automated vacuum that can do it all.

If you're looking to save money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of other options on the market, including a lot of eufy models that cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with more features, including stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app guides you through the steps needed to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located close to an outlet that has plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a tiny device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it will be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. The design is less flashy than some of the rival models, with sleek black finishes and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The most important feature that makes the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It uses an integrated map to create a picture of the immovable objects in its path. It remembers what it has already cleaned and what it is unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges faster and offers similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and comes with the boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and it's less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
