Joie Evalite Duo

The British brand Joie has a mission to "share the joy of new parents" by creating pushchairs that are "functional fashionable, stylish and ingenuous". The Evalite Duo is their latest twin buggy. It's designed to take two children side by side unlike the slightly heavier Aire Twin, and has seats that are raised so both children can view the world around them.

At just over 10kg The Evalite Duo is one of the lightest sibling strollers on the market. It's suitable for babies from birth and can be used with Joie car seats or carrycots (with the Instant Sure Lock attachment). It's simple to drive, ride, lift and fold and the clever frame expands in width to accommodate the second seat.

Out 'n' About say the one-handed fold is a major feature of the Evalite Duo, and they were amazed by how fast and easily it can be put together. However, they did observe that it was more difficult to navigate rough surfaces and bumps than other models.

They also point out that the front seat doesn't fully recline, and they needed to make use of their hands to pull it to a comfortable position which they would prefer not to have to do when travelling with young children. Nonetheless, they say the Evalite Duo is a great pushchair that can be made perfect with a few tweaks. They are impressed by the compact size when folded.

This is an excellent double stroller If you are looking for something elegant and adaptable. It can be used as a single pram right from birth and then buy an additional kit to transform it into a twin buggy. It also has a huge basket and five recline positions for maximum comfort for your child. It also has an integrated carry strap and a single-handed folding mechanism. The only drawback is that it can be somewhat heavy to carry around when not in use particularly since it folds into two parts rather than one.

iCandy Orange

This is among the most popular twin buggies. The seats are well-padded and can be outfitted with luxurious footmuffs or liners which will keep your kids warm in cold weather. The carrycot is easy to attach with the gate-opening side flaps. It is large and comfortable. Orange chassis allows for 30 different combinations of the seat and carrycot.

Established by a New Zealander, Mountain Buggy (part of the Mokopuna group that also owns Phil and Teds and Baby Jogger) is the first pram brand that focuses on all-terrain best double strollers pushchairs. The Duet twin stroller is easily maneuvered in narrow aisles for shopping and through doors. It is among the most compact, full-featured double buggies available and has won many awards including 2014 Mother & Baby Twin Gold and 2015 Prima Baby Twin Silver.

The seats are narrow enough for children of various age groups to be able to sit comfortably, and the seats are independently reclineable so kids can choose their preferred position. The large canopies come with the ability to flip out sun visors, and the storage basket is spacious. It can accommodate two infant car seats when you buy of adapters for car seats and works with nearly all brands that are available, which is a huge advantage.

The only issue is the weight. At 32.4 pounds, it's heavy to lift in and out of the trunk, and may be difficult for Grandma to maneuver. It is also more expensive than other side-by-side double buggies. It is built to last and it offers many features for its price. It's a great option for parents in urban areas who don't want to drag around a bulky stroller. And, the padding of the harnesses and the 5-point buckle ensure safety for babies.

Bugaboo Donkey twin

The Bugaboo Donkey Twin is a beautiful, functional buggy with a classy design. It's a premium product, but it's not without its faults.

It comes with very few features, both for children and parents. The only thing provided by the tiny side bin is that it is only available only when one car seat is connected. There aren't any parent trays, cup holders or pockets for accessories, and this could cause problems when you travel for a long time.

The seats don't recline to a completely flat position and the gap between them is a bit wide which is why our 5 year old had trouble lying back comfortably. It's a shame, considering it's a premium model.

On the positive side, it's easy to maneuver, and the swivel wheels work well in climbing the steps and slopes. It's also narrow enough to pass through most doors and folds up easily for stress-free storage and transportation. Additionally, it can be turned back to mono mode in just three clicks if ever need some more room or want to make a quick getaway. The comfort wheeled board can accommodate the third child should it be required. It's pricey, however if you're on a budget there are other options out there. If you're a fan of the brand and can afford it, it's worth the cost.
