The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup, you can start automated cleaning with a single button click. You can choose the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We like the claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the best robot vacuum and mop budget robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it comes across the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden in the background, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads, and Best automatic Floor vacuum and mop refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at nagging you only when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's clutter that needs to be cleaned out frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you could need. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best budget vacuum mop robot known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It measures over two feet in the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the best automatic floor vacuum and mop robot for mopping. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum robot that comes with a variety of convenience features that you don't often see on robots at this price. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great however they can make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The center of the control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can modify how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
